'We can help.'"
INTRODUCING CITY OF REFUGE ANIMAL RESCUE
We can save more lives when we work together.
We are incredibly excited to introduce City of Refuge Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a simple but powerful belief: We can save more lives when we work together. As we begin this journey, our first goal isn't to reinvent animal rescue. There are already incredible shelters, rescues, animal control agencies, veterinarians, fosters, volunteers, advocates, and community organizations doing lifesaving work every single day. We want to help connect them.
City of Refuge Animal Rescue is beginning by working to become a regional hub for collaboration, resources, information, and lifesaving partnerships—with the hope that one day this network can reach communities throughout the United States. Our work will focus on helping animal welfare organizations share ideas, resources, placement opportunities, rescue and transport connections, community programs, and successful practices.
• A shelter may have an animal it cannot place locally—but another community may have the perfect adopter.
• A rescue may desperately need a resource that another organization already knows how to access.
• One community may have an innovative program that could help animals hundreds of miles away.
• And sometimes saving a life simply comes down to connecting the right people at the right time.
We believe animal welfare shouldn't be about "our organization" versus "their organization." It should be about OUR animals. OUR communities. OUR responsibility. There is tremendous knowledge, compassion, experience, and creativity throughout the animal welfare community. Imagine what becomes possible when we bring more of it together.
One animal. One connection. One community at a time.
Follow our page. Share our mission. Help us build a network where asking for help isn't a weakness—it's how we save more lives. Because sometimes all it takes to save a life is finding someone willing to say: "We can help."
